About the event
Do you want to learn from people with experience fighting for their rights in an ableist society? Do you want to hear from leaders of self-advocacy groups and award-winning change-makers in BC? Join our upcoming panel presentation!
*An ASL interpreter is scheduled to attend this event – please help us share the news.
Panelists will share real stories and advice for being a small business owner and how entrepreneurship can provide the right accommodations for some people's employment needs. Plus, we will learn a little bit about the Community Futures BC Accessible Entrepreneurship Services.
This event is a great chance for community members, service providers, and allies to step back and learn directly from people with lived experience.
This event is a great chance for self-advocates and people with disabilities to learn from other people's experiences and ask questions from experienced self-advocates who do run their own businesses.
Our panel members will each share lessons, advice, and experiences.
We will hear a short overview of the Community Futures BC Accessible Entrepreneurship Services.
And then we'll have 5-10 minutes for a few questions and discussion at the end.
