About the event
Do you want to learn from people with experience fighting for their rights in an ableist society? Do you want to hear from leaders of advocacy groups and award-winning change-makers in BC? Join our upcoming panel presentation!
Our panelists will share real stories about human rights and filing complaints.
You’ll learn about:
How to have a clear message when filing complaints
Experiences filing complaints with City Hall, CLBC, the BC Human Rights Tribunal
Making media aware of unaddressed or unsolved complaints
This event is a great chance for community members, service providers, and allies to step back and learn directly from people with lived experience.
This event is a great chance for self-advocates to learn from other people's experiences and to feel more confident when making complaints.
Our panel members will each share lessons and experiences. And then we'll have some time for a few questions and discussion at the end.
*An ASL interpreter is scheduled to attend the event – please help us share the news!
