About the event
Do you want to learn from people with experience fighting for their rights in an ableist society? Do you want to hear from leaders of advocacy groups and change-makers in BC?
In honour of Access Awareness Day on May 31st join us for a BCPF Panel on Accessibility!
Our panelists will share real stories about what accessibility means in their everyday lives - at work, at home, in the community, and with services.
You’ll learn about:
Different types of accessibility from people with lived experience
What good accessibility looks like from our point of view
How service providers, employers, cities, and communities can do better
This event is a great chance for community members, service providers, and allies to learn directly from people with lived experience.
We'll hear from our panel members and have some time for a few questions and discussion at the end.
*An ASL interpreter is scheduled to attend the event
Friday, May 30, 2025 | 1:00pm - 2:00pm (Pacific Time) on Zoom.
